The firm was created in January 2005 by four lawyers who have been working in first-tier US and UK law firms. With this experience, the four partners have decided to combine their expertises in a structure that would enable them to provide the flexibility and reactivity needed to complete the kinds of transactions in which they specialise

Founding principle

The founding principle of the firm is to provide its clients (investment funds, listed and non-listed companies, financial institutions and managers) a service that relies on rigour and reactivity, such as is found in large international law firms, while still providing the flexibility and personal level of service that only an independent firm can offer.

Major areas of activity

The firm's major areas of activity are M&A / private equity (including LBO and venture capital); financing (equity, bank financing, mezzanine debt); restructuring (acquisition and turnaround of distressed companies, debt restructuring) and insolvency proceedings (in and out-of-court settlement, safeguard, receivership, liquidation); competition law (merger control, anti-trust, state aids), distribution and trade practices; corporate taxation (acquisition, financing, restructuring) and specific individual tax matters; commercial litigation and arbitration.

Domestic and international transactions

The firm operates on both domestic and international transactions and has a network of well established foreign correspondents in major financial centres ( New York, London, Milan, Frankfurt, Madrid, Luxembourg, Brussels, Geneva and Amsterdam).

Cooperation

The firm also works in close cooperation with independent French lawyers having specific areas of expertise, such as labour law, IP/IT, pharmaceutical law, energy law and real estate law.
